Five
years ago marked the 15th anniversary of my mom's death from breast cancer.
In honor of her memory, I combined my passion for triathlon and my interest
in health and wellness to create racingawareness[dot]org. Through racing
and the information found on this website, I raised awareness about cancer
related issues and honored my mom's memory (as well as others whose lives
were taken by cancer). Four years ago, I "raced" awareness about
Jill Mason--her story is very inspiring. You can read more about Jill

by a poster I saw while visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium (pictured above),
I "raced" awareness about ways to be kind to another mother,
Mother Earth. Click on the green tab for more info. I'm also creating
a database of other athletes who are racing awareness for causes as I
hear about them. Click on the "Athletes" tab at left for a listing.
I'm not updating much on this site these days and am using this as a"bookmark"
for cancer and health information on the world wide web. Take care.
